The Kyle Bryant Translational Research Award from the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) supports qualified investigators on research projects on Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a genetic, progressive neuromuscular disease. Proposals should focus on accelerating completion of translational stage activities necessary for advancement to clinical study of a therapeutic candidate or development of novel tools that address a critical bottleneck to the discovery or development of therapies. Applicants may be affiliated with public or private organizations in the USA and worldwide.
The grant provides up to 200,000 USD/year for 1 or 2 years.
The next letters of intent are due on February 15, 2026. Applications close on April 15, 2026.
