The Lilly Grant Office (LGO) program from the pharmaceutical company Lilly provides funding to organizations to support projects that enable the advancement of patient care. The focus of the program is on healthcare-related continuing education programs, quality improvement initiatives, patient education, and advocacy in the following therapeutic areas: Immunology, Endocrine, Neurodegeneration, Neuroscience – Migraine and Headache Disorders, and Oncology. The award accepts the following grant requests:

  • Medical education grants (priority will be given to accredited programs) that support the lifelong learning and continuing professional development of healthcare professionals (HCPs), with the goal of improved health outcomes for patients
  • Patient advocacy and consumer education programs (e.g., disease-state education and awareness)
  • Programs focused on education related to basic or preclinical science
  • Performance/Quality Improvement initiatives that foster the translation of scientific evidence into clinical practice using QI methodologies that effectively and efficiently lead to measurable improvements in healthcare processes and patient outcomes
  • Select scientific fellowships or charitable contributions (limited funding)

The amount and period of funding is project-dependent.

Applications may be submitted at any time. However, submissions must be sent at least sixty (60) days prior to the program start date. Organizations outside the United States or for grants with events occurring outside the United States should submit at least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the overall program start date.
