The MIND (Maximizing Innovation in Neuroscience Discovery) Prize, funded by the Pershing Square Foundation (PSF), supports early-to-mid-career investigators working with Neurodegenerative Diseases (NDDs). This prize focuses on research domains that may include, but are not limited to, neurobiology, brain imaging and mapping, machine learning, drug delivery, and synthetic biology.
Applicants must have MD, PhD, or MD-PhD degree (or equivalent) and must have completed at least one but no more than ten years of independent research experience by the start date of the Prize. Principal Investigators must hold faculty appointments at academic research institutions in the U.S.A. Applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents must have sufficient time to complete the project and grant term within the U.S with their visa.
The recipients receive 250,000 USD/year for three years and become a part of the unique network of researchers associated with PSF. No more than 10% of the award amount will be allocated to indirect costs.
LOI submissions open on August 17, 2026, and are due on September 21, 2026.
