Next Generation Research Grant in ALS (worldwide)

The Next Generation Research Grant in ASL from The ALS Association and the American Brain Foundation supports early-career researchers who are studying disease mechanisms, diagnosis, or treatment of ALS and whose research has potential relevance beyond ALS to other diseases. This award supports clinical or preclinical research in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Applications must meet all the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be clinician-investigators with an MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal-level clinical or research degree.
  • Applicants must have completed a clinical residency or a PhD within the past 4 years.
  • Applicants at accredited USA and international institutions are eligible to apply. There is no citizenship requirement.

The funding provides 150,000 USD over two years, for direct costs only.
