Versterken van de kennisinfrastructuur binnen de zintuiglijke gehandicaptenzorg | Strengthening the knowledge infrastructure within sensory disability care (The Netherlands)

ZonMw

The call Strengthening the knowledge infrastructure within sensory disability care from ZonMw supports existing national knowledge infrastructures or national consortia focusing on people with visual, auditory, communicative, and/or multiple sensory impairments in the Netherlands. Proposals may be for:

  • Sustaining and further strengthening the knowledge infrastructure in the sensory disability sector,
  • Developing and applying knowledge that directly aligns with the core function of the knowledge infrastructure.

Activities that contribute to sustaining the knowledge infrastructure include, for example, safeguarding expertise and disseminating proven methodologies. In addition, there is scope for developing new knowledge, such as conducting research, developing or renewing methodologies, and training professionals.

Applications are open to organizations established in the Netherlands. A national consortium consists of sensory impairment organizations (ZG organizations) with and without accreditation, and target group representative organizations. In addition, the consortium collaborates with external partners, such as research institutions, educational organizations, and experts by experience. The maximum subsidy amount that can be requested per category, for projects spanning 48 months, is:

  • €70,405,547 for national consortia aimed at people with a visual impairment,
  • €39,603,120 for national consortia aimed at people with hearing and communication impairments.

Applications close on October 1, 2026.
