Michael Ryan is a postdoctoral researcher in Anne Churchland’s lab at the University of California, Los Angeles. His postdoctoral work uses computational modeling, behavior, and large-scale neural recordings to understand how decision-making changes across the lifespan.

Ryan completed his Ph.D. in 2020 in Alexandra Nelson’s lab at the University of California, San Francisco, where he studied how movements are altered in age-related neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease.
