Noelia Weisstaub, Ph.D. is an independent investigator at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) and team leader and deputy director of the Instituto de Neurociencia Cognitiva y Traslacional (INCyT), a joint institute of CONICET, the Fundación INECO and the Universidad Favaloro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She earned her Ph.D. at Columbia University under the mentorship of René Hen and Jay Gingrich.
Her research focuses on the neural and molecular mechanisms by which serotonin regulates cognition, memory and social behavior, with particular emphasis on serotonin 2A receptors and prefrontal cortical circuits.
